This page will help you decide which type of Air Filter you need for your application. Feel free to Contact Us if you'd like some assistance.
Activated Carbon Filters (AC) These filters are designed for the removal of vapors and odors which still may be present after the air has passed through the C and CHE (see below) filters. The activated carbon element attracts residual vapors and binds them to the surface of the activated carbon grain molecules. Remaining oil content is .008 mg/m3. Applications include medical, pharmaceutical, electronics, semiconductor, hospitals, and oil-free applications.
Coalescing Filters (C) These filters are designed to intercept fine particles and liquid droplets as small as 1-micron. This filter system utilizes inertia, interception and coalescing principles for efficient filtration and extended element life and performance. The element is comprised of a borosilicate fiber layer supported by inner and outer perforated stainless steel supports. Remaining oil content is .1 mg/m3. Applications include medical, pharmaceutical, electronics, and hospitals.
Filter Dryers (Eliminizer) These point of use (POU) filters work like a dryer but cost like a filter. They give absolute protection from water condensates at the point of use. Offering a 1-micron filtration grade, the elements are long lasting and very easy to replace. Features include automatic drain, drain guard, and element change indicator. Applications include injection molding, material handling equipment, air power tools, cement plants, lumber mills, paper and envelope manufacturing, and metal casting.
Fine Coalescing Filters (CHE) These filters are similar to the C-Series (see above) in design and construction. The element is designed for the interception of fine particles and liquid droplets as small as .01 micron. This filter is ideally suited for applications that require high quality or instrument quality air such as medical, pharmaceutical, hospital, and electronics. Remaining oil content is .01 mg/m3. The CHE acts as a pre-filter for the AC (see above) adsorption filter.
Particulate Filters (P) These filters are designed to intercept particles and liquid droplets as small as 3-micron. The P-series filter is utilized individually where small amounts of contamination can be tolerated or as a pre-filter before a dryer or coalescing filter. The ceramic element can tolerate high temperatures and is oil resistant. Applications include pre-filtering for air dryers, after filtering for desiccant style air dryers, spray painting, process control, food processing, and pneumatic tools.
